Rather than coming up with our own list of beliefs, we will go with what the Church universal has taught and confessed for centuries.  These beliefs are found in two ancient creeds, The Nicene and the Apostle's Creed.  We believe that these creeds express the essential truths of the Christian faith. 

We also have confessions that articulate the particular beliefs and emphases of the Protestant Reformed faith.  These statements, such as the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Heidelberg Catechism are part of our Book of Confessions, part of the Constitution of the PCUSA.
