Troy Presbyterian Church is deeply rooted in the history of our community.  According to our records, it might be the oldest church in Troy, maybe even Lincoln County (feel free to correct us if we are wrong!).  The church was organized in pre-civil war days, in 1831.

We also have deep roots in Christian history.  The Reformed Protestant movement, of which Presbyterianism is a part, goes back to the sixteenth-century.  However, we confess the basic truths of the early Christian church and believe that the Bible is our ultimate authority for faith and practice.

We are blessed to worship in an architectually beautiful space, with stained glass windows, a high pitched ceiling which is supported by massive arched walnut beams.  Many first-time visitors comment on the beauty of the sanctuary.  We believe God can use such beauty to lift our minds and hearts up to Him.

We have a rich heritage, but we believe we have an exciting future too as we seek to follow Jesus Christ, led by the Holy Spirit.

We are an eclectic group of everyday folks - children, parents, grandparents, singles - who come together to learn about Jesus Christ and grow in His love and grace together.  We are an evangelical, Christ-centered church, affiliated with the New Wineskins Association of Churches, a network of churches within the Presbyterian Church (USA).  We are known as a friendly and warm congregation.  We want to be a safe-place for seekers and skeptics to explore the Christian faith, as well as a place where believers and their families can grow in Christian maturity.

Our mission is simple: to know Jesus Christ in a life-changing way and to share Him with others.   We invite you to visit us this Sunday and check us out for yourself.
